Screeding is the levelling off of a main surface of sand or concrete.

Screeding is done by using a thin layer of material, like sand and cement, which is poured on top of the main insulation or concrete. The levelling is done via wood or metal pieces.

This then has other finishing materials on top to finish off the desired look. It is commonly used on most types of flooring in homes as well as businesses.

Screed can be applied onto slabs, suspended floors and on types of floating construction over insulation, for underfloor heating systems.
